Privacy Policy

How we handle your info.

Effective May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Soft Landing Company (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit aipowerlab.xyz, sign up for the free pathway, or pay for the AI Power Lab web app (together, the “Service”).

We tried to write this in plain English. If anything is unclear, email builder@aipowerlab.xyz and we will explain it.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to everyone who interacts with AI Power Lab, including visitors to the website, free pathway members, and paid web app users. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

2. What we collect and why

We collect the minimum information we need to run the Service and stay in touch with you.

Account information

When you click “Enter the Lab” and choose the free pathway, we collect your name and email address. When you choose the paid pathway, we also create a login for the web app.

Payment information

If you pay for the web app, Stripe collects and processes your payment details. We receive a confirmation, your billing email, the last four digits of your card, and the country of issue. We never see or store your full card number.

Content you submit

Prompts, files, and other content you submit to the web app are stored in our Supabase database so the app can work for you. We do not use Your Content to train AI models. Note that the third-party AI model providers we use may have their own data handling practices. We choose providers with enterprise-grade privacy terms and we will identify which providers we use on request.

Usage data

When you use the web app, we record which features you use, the actions you take, and basic technical details like your browser type, device type, approximate location (from IP address), and the pages you visit. Sentry collects error and crash data so we can debug; we do our best to scrub user content out of error reports.

Communications

If you email us or reply to one of our newsletters, we keep that message so we can respond and remember the context for next time.

Cookies and similar technologies

See section 6 below.

3. Legal bases for processing (EEA and UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Contract performance. To create your account, give you access to the Service, and process payments.
  • Consent. To send you marketing emails and to set non-essential cookies like Google Analytics. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests. To keep the Service secure, prevent fraud and abuse, measure usage, debug errors, and improve the product. We balance these interests against your rights.
  • Legal compliance. To meet our obligations under tax, accounting, consumer protection, and other applicable laws.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Give you access to the free pathway or the paid web app
  • Process payments and send receipts
  • Send you product updates, workshop invitations, and marketing emails (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Respond to your questions and provide support
  • Understand which features are useful and improve the product
  • Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with our legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your prompts or files to train AI models.

5. Who we share your information with

We share information with the trusted service providers who help us run AI Power Lab. Each one only receives the data it needs to do its job, and each one is bound by a data processing agreement or equivalent contract.

  • Stripe. Processes payments and stores card details on their secure infrastructure.
  • Supabase. Hosts our database and manages account authentication, including session cookies.
  • Kit (formerly ConvertKit). Sends our newsletters and marketing emails.
  • Airtable. Stores signup records and helps us manage community lists.
  • Vercel. Hosts the website and web app.
  • Sentry. Catches errors and crash reports so we can fix bugs.
  • Upstash. Enforces rate limits to keep the Service stable and protected from abuse.
  • Google Analytics. Measures site traffic and helps us understand which pages are useful. We have IP anonymization enabled where it is supported.

We may also share information when we are legally required to (for example, in response to a valid subpoena), when we need to protect the safety of users or the public, or as part of a business transfer like a merger or acquisition. If a transfer happens, we will let active members know.

6. Cookies and tracking

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies on aipowerlab.xyz and inside the web app.

Essential cookies

Supabase sets a session cookie that keeps you logged in to the web app. Without it, the app cannot work.

Analytics cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies that help us count visitors and see which pages are popular. These cookies do not identify you to us by name. If you are in a jurisdiction that requires consent for analytics cookies (such as the EEA or UK), we ask for your consent through a cookie banner before setting them.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, parts of the web app may not work.

7. International data transfers

AI Power Lab is operated from the United States, and several of our service providers are based in or process data in the United States. If you use the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and potentially other countries where our providers operate.

When we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland to the United States or other countries that do not have an adequacy decision, we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You can request a copy of the safeguards we use by emailing builder@aipowerlab.xyz.

8. Marketing emails

If you join the free pathway or pay for the web app, we will send you marketing emails through Kit, including newsletters, workshop announcements, and product updates. For users in jurisdictions that require it (such as the EEA and UK), we use a double opt-in process. Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Clicking it removes you from the marketing list right away. We keep a record of your consent in Kit. We will still send you essential account emails (receipts, security alerts, important changes) because those are part of running the Service.

9. How long we keep your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as long as we need it to provide the Service.

When your account is closed or you unsubscribe, your account record and Your Content are removed from our active production systems within 30 days. Encrypted backup copies may persist for up to 90 days before they are overwritten on the normal backup rotation. Payment and tax records, fraud and abuse logs, and any content we are required to keep by law are retained for the period required by applicable law.

You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time by emailing builder@aipowerlab.xyz.

10. How we protect your data

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage at our database provider, access controls for our team, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect what you trust us with.

11. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct information that is wrong
  • Delete your personal information
  • Object to or restrict how we use your information
  • Receive a copy of your information in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent for marketing emails or non-essential cookies at any time
  • Not be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing that produces legal or similarly significant effects

To use any of these rights, email builder@aipowerlab.xyz from the address on file. We will respond within 30 days. We will not discriminate against you for using your rights.

EEA and UK residents

You have the right to file a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the CPRA, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct it, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and other states

If your state has a comprehensive consumer privacy law, you have rights similar to those described above, including the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of your personal data, and the right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. To use these rights, email builder@aipowerlab.xyz. You also have the right to appeal a denied request by replying to our response.

12. Children's privacy

AI Power Lab is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us their information, email builder@aipowerlab.xyz and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date above and let active members know by email or inside the web app.
